Not long ago, I decided to give a break with TVN dramas because of one hell of rollercoaster and a bit painful journey with their dramas, such as Reply 1988 and Cheese In The Trap.
Actually, they are very good dramas. It just somehow, along the way, there were so many things involved that make me think, “Aaah too bad, it could have been a great dramas ever.”
Anyway, I guess that just me being disappointed and hard to move on. Since I heard that Eric Mun comeback to kdramaland with Seo Hyun Jin, I really anticipate for it.
I’ve known him since he is in Shinhwa and fell in love more when he play Super Rookie alongside Han Ga In. So, I can’t not really wait.
But then, it will be in TVN. Darn! But, for the love of Eric, I decided to open my heart again for TVN. Well, I always love TVN for their dramas and Music and Drama OST.
But for me, I knew from the start that I will love this drama and believe it will be another good journey.
Let’s see, Kim Mi Kyung, my favorite actress which involved in many great dramas (The Heirs, Yong Pal, Can You Hear My Heart). Kim Ji Suk which I known from his role in Cheongdamdong Alice and Ye Ji Won from the latest Page Turner drama.
As for the story, definitely refreshing, the whole family is entertaining. Not to mention, the idea that Eric is a sound producer, make it very interesting. The drama emphasize about sound a lot which a new knowledge and experience for drama viewers like me.
I am so convince that it will be a funny, romantic, and warm journey to the end.
Just like the OST and BGM they had offered so far. A catchy, upbeat, warm, mellow song and music which now filling my playlist altogether with CITT OST, Goodbye Mr. Black OST, Beautiful Gong Shim OST, Coldplay, Adele and Shawn Mendez.

Another kdramas in my waiting list for 2016 is finally airing, Descendants of the Sun. Really curious of how it will be since the writer is the great Kim Eun Sook.
While Song Joong Ki, well, first time I saw him was in Triple. And this is his new drama after serving his nation in Military. So, who is not excited to watch him again after 2 years, right.
One more thing, this drama shooting is already ended aka pre-produced, which is I believe, just like Cheese in The Trap, the cinematography and the editing or the scene showing will be just perfect since they have time to make it the best they can.
After watching their first 2 episodes, I know I have been fallen in love. And fortunately, it aired during the time I felt down because of the lack of JungSeol moment in Cheese In The Trap. Somehow, it lifted my kdramas spirit up.
The drama kinda reminds me of “Tour of Duty” (a drama aired back in the eighties. It’s about war, friendship, military, also love line between a Liutenant and a doctor. What a memories).
Ah, I also like the OST, so here it is… another long list OST to add to my playlist.

We have seen lots of Manga, Manhwa (Korean Manga), Webtoon, or Webcomic made into live action dramas in many countries especially countries in Asia.
Sometimes, these drama is better than the original itself. But, there are also some that really out of our expectation and made us stop watching after few episodes.
The good thing about these kinds of dramas are, we already know the story so we won’t be tortured to wait next episode when it airs. Also, we can imagine all the cast looks like and how would they act.
The bad thing is we already had our own imagination and expectation about the story and the cast, so if it not fit into ours, then somehow it will ruin the drama.
Here are 25 Kdrama from manga/manhwa/webtoon/webcomic up to the year of 2015 I have tried to enjoy. Although I must say, I am not quite enjoy all of them. Since I drop off some of the drama after few episode.
1. Boys Over Flowers
From the manga and anime hana Yori Dango by Yoko Kamio.
2. City Hunter
From the manga and anime City Hunter by Tsukasa Hojo.
3. Cantabile Tomorrow
From the manga and anime Nodame Contabile by Tomoko Ninomiya.
4. Playful Kiss
From the manga and anime Itazura na Kiss Kaoru Tada.
5. Flower Boys Next Door
From the webtoon I Watch Him Every Day by Yoo Hyun Sook
6. Mary Stayed Out All Night
From the webtoon Maerineun Uibakjoong by Won Soo Yeon.
I do love drama. Probably been saying that repeatedly in lots of my other post. Well, I repeat again in case you still don’t know.
And I had to admit that Kdrama had a big part of why I love drama. They are surprisingly very good in terms of playing my emotion up and down, just like experiencing a rollercoaster. Until sometimes, it made me tired, emotionally.
Especially when it comes to tragic or sad drama. Which, they are expert on that. Trust me, after I watched so many drama from other country, I guess Koreans is still the best in portraying sad or tragic scene.
The ‘tragic’ here means, one of the lead end up dead, both lead were dead, or second lead which I hardly ship more than the lead is dead. Forgive me for adding this term of tragic on my own since sometimes I cheers for the second lead more thanthe lead one.
In the end, It was NOT a happy ending nor the one that keep us wondering whether it was a happy or sad ending.
So, here are 25 Kdrama up till the year of 2014, that made me cry a river. Get yourself prepared with whole bunch of tissue when you decided to watched them.
But, let me remind you, Spoiler Alert for those who dislike spoilers.
1. I’m Sorry, I love you (2004)
So Ji Sub as Cha Moo Hyuk
Im Soo Jung as Song Eun Chae
Jung Kyung Ho as Choi Yune
Seo Ji Young as Kang Min Joo
For heaven’s sake, hands down for this drama with 16 episodes. THIS is the one and only, the most SAD and TRAGIC drama I’ve ever watched.
Not only in the whole kdramaland, but in the whole dramaland. It was sad, emotionally tiring, and depressing. So much that it made my heart and head hurts.
I cry a river throughout all episodes. More to add, the original soundtrack are seriously heart wrenching and sad too.
It’s about a man who thrown away from his family to another country, separated with his twin, being left out by his love life, took bullet for the woman he loved, had the bullet stuck in his head, hate by his real mother just because his mother didn’t know he is her son, spent his life for revenge, envy with his so called brother, and felt guilty for the new love he found that he decided to leave her because he didn’t want her to be sad.
In the end, he died alone in Australia and donate his heart for his so called brother. Huuaaaa… cry out loud. What kind of story line is this. Is there anymore sadder than this.
Yes, there is. The woman he love, followed him. She suicided in his grave. Here is her letter…
“Even when I was living, he was lonely. So, I couldn’t leave him alone like that. Just this once in my life, I’m thinking of myself and living for myself. I’ll accept any punishment that comes. Song Eun Chae.”
Where is the tissue, please….
After I watched this drama, life is never be the same.
Sampai sekarang belom ada yang bisa gantiin drama ini sebagai drama TERsedih dan TERtragis sepanjang masa (at least for me) 4 thumbs up for both of the lead and all the crew.
2. Stairway to heaven (2004)
Kwon Sang Woo as Cha Song-ju
Choi Ji Woo as Han Jung-suh
Kim Tae Hee as Han Yu-ri
Shin Hyun Joon as Han Tae-hwa
Baek Sung Hyun as young Cha Song-ju
Park Shin Hye as young Han Jung-suh/Kim Ji-su
Lee Wan as young Han Tae-hwa/Han Chul-su
Park Ji Mi as young Han Yuri
A 20 episode drama full of sadness started from childhood until they grown ups. The female lead is suffered.
I fell in love with Park Shin Hye in this drama even though she is only appeared as a child female lead. Since then, I am officially following all of her drama.
If you looking for a drama with a cinderella kind of vibe (with step mother and evil sister), unforgotten first love, accident, amnesia, and a terminal illness, then choose this one.
This is definitely the perfect one. Just when all the storms finally washed out and we though they finally get together happily ever after, another storm came and woke us all from the happy ending dream. The female lead died of terminal illness and the male lead is living his lonely life. What a cruel life indeed.
3. Endless Love or An Autumn Tale (2000)
Song Seung Hun as Yun Joon Suh
Song Hye Kyo as Yun/Choi Eun Suh
Won Bin as Han Tae Suh
Han Na Na as Shin Yu Mi
Han Chae Young as Choi/Yun Shin Ae
Choi Woo Hyuk as young Joon Suh
Moon Geun Young as young Eun Suh
In Indonesia, I guess only a few people who trully love kdrama that still don’t know this one.
It was one of the first drama shown in our country back then. In the era called the beginning of Korean fever in Indonesia.
The story line is kind of cliche typical korean drama. Four lead whose life tangled together. Unforgotten first love. Unrequited love for the second lead. A suffering life of the female lead.
Last but not least, a fatal disease of the female lead, which is Leukemia. Oh lord, like her life is not miserable enough. Cry bucket of tears back then just because it was my first time watched kdrama and I haven’t met MISA (I’m Sorry I love you), yet.
How can I denied that it was such a tragic one. Eun Suh died because of her disease. Followed by Joon Suh, who was hit by a truck. Only God know if they reunited in heaven or not.
In this drama, i encounter what its called, shipped the second lead more than the first lead. I just love Won Bin here. Ganteng banget dia.
4. Bad Love (2008)
Kwon Sang Woo as Kang Yong Ki
Lee Yo Won as Na In Jung
Kim Sung Soo as Lee Soo Hwan
Kim Ga Yun as Kang Joo Ran
A 20 episode of tears for Yong Ki portrayed by Sang Woo. From the tittle itself, you can already feel the ‘sadness’ vibe.
5. Damo (2003)
Ha Ji Won as Chae-Ok
Kim Min Joon as Jang Sung-Baek
Lee Seo Jin as Commander Hwangbo
A 14 episodes of amazing skills of Ha Ji Won as a damo. At first, I felt sad because I thought Chae Ok will have a tragic love with Sung-baek.
I thought they love each other. Well, they indeed love each other until they discovered that they are a long lost siblings.
While their status is opposite to each other. Damo tried to rescue his brother. He is a rebel while Damo is a detective, but it was just too late. He died already.
6. Hwang Jin Yi (2006)
Ha Ji Won as Hwang Jin Yi/ Myung Wol
Shim Eun Kyung as young Hwang Jin Yi
Kim Jae Won as Kim Jung Han
Wang Bit Na as Bu Yong
Ryu Tae Joon as Baek Kye Soo
Jang Geun Suk as Kim Eun Ho
A 24 episodes of beautiful clothes, dance, music, and of course sadness. I cried for Jin Yi everytime.
Poor her, for not being able to live happily with the one she loves. Eun Ho, her first love is dead just before they ran away together.
Then she fell in love again with Jung Han, but then lost her baby due a complicated situation between them.
And there in the end, she let him go and live alone as a Gisaeng. Jin Yi, why can’t you be happier.
7. The Story of the First King’s Four Gods / Legend (2007)
Bae Yong Jun as Damdeok / Hwanwoong
Yoo Seung Ho as young Damdeok
Lee Ji Ah as Sujini / Seoh
Shim Eun Kyung as young Sujini
Moon So Ri as Seo Ki Ha / Kajin
Park Eun Bin as teen Ki Ha
Park Sung Woong as Jumuchi
Lee Philip as Cheoro
Lee Hyun Woo as young Cheoro
I always love Bae Yong Jun as an actor since Winter Sonata. So, 24 episodes of this drama definitely catch my attention.
Actually it is not ‘that’ tragic. It just, so sad to see the leads love life. In first few episode, we will see how sad it is when he had to killed his own wife.
Him crying, make my heart ache. Later, his love life with Sujini, make my heart even cry out loud. In the end, they didn’t end up together. I’m not sure what happened to Damdeok btw.
8. Empress Ki (2013)
Ha Ji Won as Ki Seung Nyang / Empress Ki
Hyun Seung Min as Seung Nyang (young)
Joo Jin Mo as Wang Yoo / King Choong Hye
Ahn Do Gyu as Wang Yoo (young)
Ji Chang Wook as Ta Hwan / Emperor Huizong of Yuan
A 51 episodes worth watching and heart wrenching. Here, the second lead finally got the heart of the first female lead, yeaay…
Eventhough it will end up tragically. Here, I feel you, Ta Hwan. How you really want Seung Nyang to love you back, even until the end of your life. Which she did, love him back. He just didn’t know and it was just too late.
9. Fashion King (2012)
Yoo Ah In as Kang Young Gul
Seo Young Joo as Young Gul (Young)
Shin Se Kyung as Lee Ga Young
Kim Sae Ron as Ga Young (young)
Lee Je Hoon as Jung Jae Hyuk
Kwon Yu Ri as Choi Anna
A 20 episodes of not so tragic or sad drama actually. But it end up with Young Gul death anyway, so I consider it as tragic. Not to mention, his death is… hmm… I couldn’t find a right word to describe it.
It just that, really a bad way to end this drama. He was happily enjoying himself in the pool or so, then “bang” someone killed him, shot him to death.
10. Sad Love Song (2005)
Kwon Sang Woo as Suh Joon Young / Choi Joon Kyu
Yoo Seung Ho as young Suh Joon Young and then as his son
Kim Hee Sun as Park Hae In
Kim So Eun as young Hae In
Yun Jung Hoon as Lee Gun Woo
Kim Yeon Joo as Cha Hwa Jung
Go Ah Sung as young Cha Hwa Jung
Even the title already give a vibe of sad or tragic. Then there were 20 episodes to conveyed the title.
This time, Sang Woo will be the one who die (Remember stairway to heaven?). His love story with Kim Hee Sun is so complicated that it make our heart drown in pain.
11. Ja Myung Go (2009)
Jung Ryu Won as Princess Ja Myung
Lee Young Yoo as Lee Young Yoo as Ja Myung
Park Min Young as Princess Ra Hee
Jin Ji Hee as Ra Hee (child)
Jung Kyung Ho as Prince Hodong
Kang Soo Han as Hodong (child)
Yeo Jin Goo as Hodong (adolescent)
A 39 episode of intrigue in politics and love. Ja Myung, who is branded the princess of destruction, escapes death with the help of her mother and grows up among the common folk.
She and Prince Hodong, who is the rival of her nation fall in love but fate has it that they cannot be together. Ja Myung, who fight to save her nation and had misunderstanding about his feeling toward her, finally pierces her sword towards Hodong. I cry a river in the end seing both of them died together.
12. Kangchi, The Beginning (2013)
Lee Seung Ki as Choi Kang Chi
Jung Joon Won as Kang Chi (child)
Bae Suzy as Dam Yeo Wool
Jo Min Ah as Yeo Wool (child)
Choi Jin Hyuk as Gu Wol Ryung (Kang Chi’s father)
Yoon Se Ah as Ja Hong Myung / middle age Yoon Seo Hwa (Kang Chi’s mother)
Lee Yeon Hee as Yoon Seo Hwa
Another 24 episodes not so called tragic. But I do enjoyed watched every scene of Kang Chi’s parents, hoping that this drama is about them, but it is just a hope. Not happen in real though.
Wol Ryung and Seo Hwa love story is tragic. They meant for each other but they came from a different world and that what make them separated.
I cry hard for Wol Ryung, when he learned that the woman he love betrayed him. I cry for Seo Hwa when I finally realized that she did love him deep down inside her heart.
When she died, I felt like aaahh… noo… don’t leave Wol Ryung… Both of you deserved to live happily ever after.
13. Jang Ok Jung (2013)
Kim Tae Hee as Jang Ok Jung / Lady Jang Hee Bin
Kang Min Ah as Jang Ok Jung (young)
Yoo Ah In as Lee Soon / King Suk Jong
Chae Sang Woo as Lee Soon (young)
Hong Soo Hyun as Queen In Hyun
Jae Hee as Hyun Chi Soo
Baek Seung Hwan as Hyun Chi Soo (young)
A 24 episodes of watching Jang Ok Jung life. A queen who had all the love of an emperor but had to die in the end of the story. I just love Yoo Ah In acting in all of his dramas.
14. The Devil (2007)
Joo Ji Hoon as Oh Seung Ha
Uhm Tae Woong as Kang Oh Soo
Shin Min Ah as Seo Hae In
I enjoyed watching 20 episodes full of shin Min Ah and all the mystical things involved. Touched by her love story with Seung Ha. Heartbroken by his death.
15. What happened in Bali (2004)
Ha Ji Won as Lee Soo-jung
Jo In Sung as Jung Jae-min
So Ji Sub as Kang In-wook
Park Ye Jin as Choi Young-joo
It is 20 episodes of drama. A trully tragic one. And it was happened here, in Indonesia, precisely in Bali.
Why I so called trully tragic. Because the 3 leads were end up dead. Jae Min had a misunderstanding with Soo Jung, jealousy and hatred filled him that trigger him to killed Soo jung and In Wook together.
When he heard Soo Jung last word, that she love him. I think he regret for what he did, so he decided to killed himself at the beach.
So, this is the second time I watched So Ji Sub, end up dead. Why, oh why Ji Sub ssi.
16. 49 days (2011)
Lee Yo Won as Song Yi Kyung
Jo Min Ah as Yi Kyung (young)
Nam Gyu Ri as Shin Ji Hyun
Kim Yoo Bin as Ji Hyun (young)
Jo Hyun Jae as Han Kang
Bae Soo Bin as Kang Min Ho
Jung Il Woo as scheduler / Song Yi Soo
Seo Ji Hye as Shin In Jung
A 20 episodes of mixed feeling. There were funny, romantic, sad, happy, anger throughtout this drama.
It was so sad to see Ji Hyun and scheduler leave out this world and people they love. It was so sad to see Yi kyung and Han Kang, stood up in front of their grave by the end of the drama. It will be a really nice ending if in the future, Yi Kyung and Han Kang end up together.
17. Glass Shoes or Glass Slippers (2002)
Kim Hyun Joo as Kim Yun Hee / Lee Sun Woo
Kim Ji Ho as Kim Tae Hee
So Ji Sub as Park Chul Woong
Han Jae Suk as Jang Jae Hyuk
Kim Min Sun as Woo Seung Hee
A 40 episodes of sad scene. So Ji Sub is really the master of sad or tragic story. Here, he end up dead, again, just before his wedding, right before he finally have his happiness.
After 40 episode of his longing for the woman he love, he end up dead. Can you at least be in a happy ending for once. Well he did, in his other dramas. I just being overreacted and exaggerated.
18. Tree of Heaven (2006)
Lee Wan as Yoon-suh
Park Shin Hye as Hana
Asami Reina as Maya
Uchida Asahi as Fujiwara Ryu
This is a collaboration drama between Korea and Japan. A 10 episodes of tear jerkers.
As I told you, I started following Park shin Hye since Stairway to heaven. Here, I think she is at her best of crying scene.
Hana had fall in love with her step-brother (Yoon Suh). They fell for each other, but as a tragic drama, they were not allowed to have a happy ending, so did their fate. Yoon Suh dead in the end, even though his death brings life to Hana.
19. A love to Kill (2005)
Bi as Kang Bok Gu
Shin Min Ah as Cha Eun Seok
Kim Sa Rang as Han Da Jung
Lee Ki Woo as Kim Joon Sung
A 16 episodes of love started with revenge and hatred. Bi or Rain as Eun Seok Bodyguard planned to take a revenge for his brother by making Eun Seok life miserable.
But as cliche as dramaland, they fell in love to each other despite any obstacles lies down in front of them. In the end, Bok Gu is dead.
20. A Thousand days promises (2011)
Kim Rae Won as Park Ji Hyung
Soo Ae as Lee Seo Yeon
Lee Sang Woo as Jang Jae Min
Jung Yoo Mi as Noh Hyang Ki
How can I not feel sad with this 20 episodes of drama. When the story itself revolved around losing memory.
How sad it will be, if we losing memory of someone we love. How pained it is for the one that being forgotten.
And Kim Rae Won, he just amazing in portraying Ji Hyung who will always love her unconditionally and willingly despite her memory loss.
21. Sang Doo, let’s Go to School (2003)
Bi as Cha Sang-doo
Gong Hyo Jin as Chae Eun-hwan
Lee Dong Gun as Kang Min-suk
Hong Soo Hyun as Han Se-ra
A 16 episodes of happy and sad story revolved around school life.
22. The Snow Queen (2007)
Hyun Bin as Han Tae Woong / Han Deuk Gu
Sung Yu Ri as Kim Bo Ra
Im Ju Hwan as Suh Gun Woo
Yoo In Young as Lee Seung Ri
Kim Tae Hyun as Choi Choong Shik

Park Shin Yang as Geum Na Ra
Park Jin Hee as Seo Joo Kyung
Shin Dong Wook as Ha Woo Sung
Kim Jung Hwa as Lee Cha Yeon
A 16 episode Geum Na Ra hard life. He is living his life in a hard way by being a privat money lender. Which off course, will have so many enemies right in front of his nose.
So when he finally settled down and wanted to get marry. Someone killed him, stabbed him, right before his wedding. I cried out for the bride who stood clueless as she waited for him.
24. East of Eden (2009)
Song Seung Hun as Lee Dong Chul

Kang Soo Han as Gun Wook (child)
Han Ga In as Moon Jae In
Kim Jae Wook as Hong Tae Sung
Park Joon Mok as Tae Sung (child)
Oh Yun Soo as Hong Tae Ra
Moon Ga Young as Tae Ra (teen)
A 17 episodes plot revenge. I got the feeling that it will became tragic when I read the synopsis. Because, revenge most likely always end up with someone death. And here we are, watch Gun Wook planned his revenge, fell in love, then really end up dead.
I cried out when I saw the scene where the female lead waited for him as she clueless about his death.
But, let’s not loose our hope. Keep praying and make it happen, soon!
1. Jendela Rumah Kita (1990)
Hingga kini, Sitti Nurbaya masih terus menginspirasi. Mulai dari lagu berjudul “cukup siti nurbaya,” remake sinetron Siti Nurbaya * pemainnya kalo ga salah Nia Ramadhani * pementasan teater Siti Nurbaya, sampai FTV bertema Sitti Nurbaya.
At the end, Midun menjadi orang nomor satu di Bukit tinggi dengan gelar Datuk Paduka Raja.
So, after I watched The Heirsepisode 12. Can not help myself to stop heard the OST. Actually it’s been replaying in my head.
I’ve been hooked, definitely. Whether I listen to it from my hand phone or not. Crazy. I may say that this drama OST is one of the best.
I mean, all the OST so far is amazing and really fit to the storyline. Some drama, not just kdrama, only couple of their OST could catch the viewer and listener heart.
But this drama OST really captured lots of people who watched and listen to its OST. I probably in my fangirl mode, kdrama lover mode.
As far as I remember, the last time I am being like this is when I watched Queen In Hyun’s Man and it’s already long before.
And for your info, I’m not so into Lee Min Ho. Am I weird? cos I believe there were lots of people who really fall into his charms.
So, when I first watch this drama, I am not in my fangirl mode at all. All I expected is to watch a drama full of eye candy and lighthearted high school life.
But, it turned out to be wrong. It is a very thoughtful and deeper drama. It just a way to relax my brain and mind from everyday routine.
But, after watched from one episode to another, damn, I gradually turn back into my fangirl mode. And the OST, keep replaying them in phone.
And after finished watching the drama, I am officially became MinShin shipper (MinShin = Min Ho & Shin Hye).

Like I said before, I really do love anime and drama. So it kind of treat for me if the manga or anime turned into live action drama. Cos I could finally be able to see it more real than reel * even though it is still definitely unreal * It also give me some excitement to see if there were such a living person that look alike the character in the manga or anime.
11 episode + 1 special. This is probably the first dorama that catch my eyes during my childhood. Eventhough my very first dorama is Oshin, but Tokyo Love Story is the one that left first mark in heart as I started to watch other dorama since then.
I remember how angry I am with Kanji. Even as a child, I don’t think him as a man. Why, because he don’t seem to make up his mind over woman, he always in between Rika or Satomi. And I even more angry with Rika, because she is very devoted to Kanji, as if no other man who is better than Kanji live in this world. That time, I think Rika deserved to be loved by other. At the end, Rika leave Kanji * finally, that’s my though back then * just about the time Kanji realize that he like her too * but I guess not that much, since he married that Satomi at the very end * I really hate the ending. But hey, I guess I forgot that this is only a drama and actually, in the real world, something like that really did happened sometimes.
The famous scene here is when Rika and Kanji separated, they always stand against each other then walk forward in different direction without looking back again. Oh, and don’t forget the ost, the song called “Love Story wa Totsuzen ni” sung by Oda Kazumasa.
Oda Yuji – Nagao Kanji
Suzuki Honami – Akana Rika
Eguchi Yosuke – Mikami Kenichi
Arimori Narimi – Sekiguchi Satomi
Manga
Jdrama: Tokyo Love story
2. Asunaro hakusho or Asunaro White Paper or Ordinary People (1993)
Tapi jangan khawatir, it is happy ending though.
Manga maupun animenya laku keras. Tentang sepak terjang seorang guru cowo bernama Onizuka.
12. Under the same roof or Hitotsu yane no shita
13. Anchor woman or News no onna
Ceritanya sih standar, kisah cinta anak SMA. Eits, jangan salah kaprah dulu. Jadi, ibunya kyoko married with ayahnya Takky.
Worth to watch till the end.
16. Love 2000
17. Just the way we are
Kalo Just The Way We Are tentang persahabatan 2 cewe dengan latar belakang yang berbeda.
18. Anything for you (1992)
Drama paling mengharukan sepanjang masa.
And, happy ending ^^.
20. With you
Keren banget ceritanya.
22. In the name of love
Padahal alur ceritanya sangat berbeda.
23. Let’s go to school
24. Can’t take my eyes of you or Kimi no Hitomi ni Koishiteru
Drama ini menceritakan tentang sepasang sahabat, 2 cewe, 2 cowo. Mereka tinggal sebelahan di apartemen, cewe utama namanya megumi, yang cowo namanya ken suzuki. Ken suka sama megumi, tapi megumi ternyata suka sama teman sekamarnya, ken.
25. Furikaereba Yatsu Ga Iru
Entah kenapa, tiba-tiba teringat kata telenovela. Lalu mulailah mencoba mengingat kembali, “Apa aja ya telenovela yang pernah saya tonton dulu?”
Udah hampir lupa juga sih. Maklum, jaman telenovela sedang booming-boomingnya, ketika jaman saya SD-SMP.
Dulu suka banget sama soundtracknya. Plus kayanya ini kali pertama saya anggap pria berkumis itu tampan * selain alm. bapa saya tentunya*
2. Kassandra (1991-1992)
Corraima Torres – Andreina Arocha
Osvaldo Rios – Ignacio Contreras
Telenovela kedua setelah Rosa Salvaje yang membuat saya terpaku sama telenovela. Kala itu, dandana ala Gypsy pun menjadi booming idmana-mana. Baju off shoulder menjadi nge-hits di kalangan para penjual baju di tanah abang. Saya pun terkena imbasnya, merengek minta dibelikan baju semacam Kassandra, hahaha.
7. Acapulco Bay (1995)
Raquel Gardner – Raquel Swanson
Tony Newman – Tony Stockdale
8. Maria La Del Barrio a.k.a maria cinta yang hilang (1995)
Thalia – María Hernández
Fernando Colunga – Luis Fernando de la Vega
9. Lazos De Amor a.k.a Kemelut Cinta (1995)
Lucero – Maria Guadalupe/ maria Fernanda/ Maria Paula Rivas Iturbe
Jose Luis Santader – Nicholas Miranda
Hands up and down for Lucero. Ceritanya pun bagus, mengurai air mata.
10. Morena Clara a.k.a Si Cantik Clara (1995)
Astrid Carolina Herrera – Clara Rosa Guzman
Jose Luis Santader – Valentin Andara/ Nicholas
Si cantik Clara, sesuai namanya memang cantik beneran. Disini saya sebel banget sama si Valentin Andara, sebel sama karakternya ya.
11. El Manantial (1996)
Astrid Carolina Herrera
Luis Mesa
Telenovela ini ceritanya menyedihkan. Si pemeran pria mengalami kecelakaan dan amnesia sehingga melupakan si pemeran wanita, which is sudah menjadi istri dan sudah memiliki anak darinya. Sedih banget melihat perjuangan karakter Astrid untuk memenangkan hati ‘suaminya’ lagi.
12. La viuda de Blanco (1996)
Osvaldo Rios – Diego Blanco Albarracín
Maria Helena Doering – Alicia Guardiola
13. Marisol (1996)

Eduardo Santamarina – José Andrés Garcés del Valle
14. Mi Querida Isabel a.k.a Isabel (1997)

Ernesto laguardia – Luis Daniel Márquez Riquelme

17. La Mentira (1998)

Saul Lisazo – Marco duran

Kate Del Castillo – Ramona Moreno
Eduardo Palomo – Alejandro de Asís
24. Carita de Angel (2000-2001)
Daniela Aedo – Dulce Maria Larios Valle
Lisette Morelos – Cecilia Santos de Larios
Miguel de León – Luciano Larios
25. Betty La Fea (1999-2001)
Scarlet Ortiz – Betty
Mario Duarte – Nicolas mora
Okay, that’s a wrap. 25 telenovela that has been stayin’ in my memory.
Who don’t know Anime and Manga, Right? But, liking them, that is another question.
In Indonesia, during my old days, manga was called as comic. Actually, it is very different with the real ‘comics.’ It usually published from Japan or Korea.
The readers are wide range, from children to granny or grandpa. Why? Because sometimes, they started to read and watched it since they were a child an continued until they get older. There is no age limit for this kind of “fans.” Take me for an example.
Even though there are some people out there who look down on us. Just because they thought that manga or anime is a childish things, made people forget reality, induced laziness and other and other.
Even I’ve encountered such people. All I need is proved them that they were wrong. And they will kept silence.
For instance, be a person who love manga and anime but still had good grades at school and still had lots of friends out there.
Anyway, I think it depends on the person. For me, manga and anime is a symbol of hard work and art.
Can you imagine how many people involved during the making of anime? How much talent needed just to make it into one. Or even how many efforts to be made to make them published or on air.
So, how come, some people look down on manga and anime? I guess, it is just because they yet to understand it or yet to try like it.
Me, myself, love manga and anime because I always get some good lesson from it.
I could learn the language (Japanese language), learn history I had not known before because sometimes, there are anime or manga based on real history, found great quotes (from the character), or even other positive things such as friendship, hard work, self confidence, dare to dreams, and etc.
So, how come I’ve become one of the anime and manga “fans”? Well, have you ever heard about Doraemon or his ‘immortal’ friend Nobita? I said immortal because he never aged since it was first aired on TV.
You can say that Doraemon is the first anime in my life. Back then, I was amazed with Doraemon pocket. I mean, you can get all you want from there, and for me as a child, it was pretty amazing.
Since then, I don’t know how many mangas I’ve been read and how many animes I’ve been watched.
For manga, I have a little history with it. It started during my school days. At first, I borrowed it from friends, which I usually read it during school hours. I put it inside the textbook or read it under the table… hehehe… please don’t imitate me.
Then, I asked my late dad to buy it every time we went monthly shopping. When once a month is not enough, I decided to save my pocket money and bought it.
Later on, when there was a manga rent shop, I just kept going there. Until finally, technology understand me. Ups, I mean I understand technology.
Now, I just need an internet connection and bam! It’s all there to read and watch.
Oh, by the way, from manga, sometimes they turned into anime or vice versa. Next on, from anime or manga, they turned them into drama or movie.
Remember Hana Yori Dango? Just named it. Start from manga to anime to Taiwanese drama (Meteor Garden). Followed by Dorama/ Japanese drama (Hana Yori Dango). Also, K-Drama (Boys Before flowers).
As far as I remember, here, in Indonesia, there was also a drama adapted from it, but I totally forgot what the title of the drama is. And it’s all started from a MANGA! WOW! Just WOW!
So, if you like manga and anime, it is absoulutely okay to continue liking it and admit it. Just don’t forget, there are many kinds of manga and anime. Read and watch appropriately to your age.
Just for reminiscence, these are some of manga and anime I’ve been read and watched and the list still continued on till now.
